How do I link my external KVT address to my KM account?

There was a defined process to do this, but there is currently an issue with it.
A new process will be provided by Kinesis prior to the first KVT payment being made.
Advice of linking procedures that need to be followed has previously been provided via email.
I expect the same to happen with this new procedure.
There is no need to get the linking done before this point.

Thanks, I hope 'prior' means weeks not hours...I have a lot of referrals that will need help regardless if official instructions.

My rep contacted me and advised to check KVT linking on external wallets. When I paste the signed message I get error 'invalid point' I am including the {....} brackets and contents is this correct?

Given today's announcement that KVT yields will be paid out at the end of April .. I am trying to link some KVT I have sitting on a CoolWalletS to my KMS.

I had tried to do this several months ago, but was unable to do so. Tried again today and got the error. "The signature is incorrect". Going from memory, this is the same error that I had rec'd previously.

To do the linking and verify (sign) the linked wallet, I am following the instructions in this (now over 2 year old) guide ..

The initial address validates correctly with message "The KVT address is valid" - but after following the process outlined in the guide and pasting the resultant "signature" - I get the error that the "The signature is incorrect".

Questions:
(1) Has anyone successfully linked a Coolwallet with KVT yet?
(2) Is the process linked above still the proper way to proceed?

Here's what I did.

• I e-mailed support.
• I gave them my KMS KVT address
• I gave them my coolwallet address
• I provided the hash where I'd sent KVT from the KMS to the Coolwallet. It might have helped that I had a comment on that transaction that indicated I was moving them for "safer" storage rather than selling them
• They connected the wallets.

I'd assume they'd do the same for you. I did this before there was an official method, but it worked.

I'd suggest waiting for that - there are 5 weeks before the linking has to be done.

If you want to follow your nose with the current help article and the app, then the critical part for now is that you need to locate the quoted string in the signed message that follows the word sig.
Then copy the string between, but excluding the " characters.
If you paste this back into the KM application widget, the link should be made successfully.

However, as above, I'd wait for the updated article.

I can confirm the above worked for me the string after the word 'sig' select all the text excluding the " characters.

I have a nano X and keep asking them to help me link the kvt, they keep telling me to send kau or kag, but as you might know, kau or kag wont work on a nano. so what would be the solution for nano owners ?

You can use Nano S or X for KVT but not KAU or KAG here you will need a CoolWallet or just leave them on the KMS

Or send ETH , all they want is a proof that the address is yours, I dont want to store them in KMS nor i want to buy a coolwallet .I'm not the only one in this situation.

It will be straightforward to link your KVT address on the Nano to your KM account.
No ETH required for this process.

It may be faster to just create the signature, but in my experience support is very helpful.

That's what I figured. I have never experienced such proactive, forward thinking support as we have with our Kinesis Reps! Unbelievable and confidence inspiring.

Will wait for further docs before linking our CoolWallet KVT's to the KMS.
